As we continue #LIGHTtheWORLD and move into week 2, the theme turns from Light the World to Light Your Community.

President James E. Faust said of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, “Ours is not a Sunday-only religion. It demands exemplary conduct and effort every day of the week.”
I was baptized a member of Christ’s church when I was 20. I have watched both as an “outsider” and an “insider” this incredible truth: the greatest gift we can give is sharing the Savior’s love, because there is no greater love. He was the perfect example, loving one person at a time. And that love is felt most profoundly not through words, but through actions.
This week we have a special opportunity to love our neighborhood. To serve, to give, to surprise, and to delight. But more than anything, my hope is that this is only the starting point. I believe we’re all craving a little more kindness. We all say,
Someone should do something about that.” And the great news is, we, all of us—you and me—are somebodies.
