As I headed down to the garden to make my repair, I reflected on how the Lord is keenly aware of me and my needs.
This day there was a rather large thunderstorm, and I was sitting by the window watching and waiting for every flash of lightning I could see. I remember also wanting to know if God was real.
I’m also certain the Lord observes the whole field. He paces the dugout with a perfect understanding of the best play to get me out of the inning. Through the Spirit’s promptings he signals me the whole time. But I’m not looking over.

As we travel our personal road to Emmaus, we can find comfort in the prophet's words to us, "Please know this: if everything and everyone else in the world whom you trust should fail, Jesus Christ... will never fail you."
Just as Christ's disciples gathered when the word of His Resurrection spread, the gathering continues on this Easter Sunday as we celebrate our Savior’s victory over death and sin. May all feel the hope and joy that is abundant in the messages of Jesus Christ. Truly! He is risen.

After all that Christ did for you, I invite you to do something this week to follow His teachings. You might make your prayers more earnest. You could forgive someone or help a friend in need. You can start today on a new spiritual quest."
