For my friends who are experiencing the fresh sting of loss, may you be blessed with peace and comfort from Christ, who promised, "My peace I give unto you.”

Now, when confronted with tragedies and disappointments, instead of allowing panic and hopelessness to creep in, I take a deep breath and direct my thoughts to the many times I’ve seen God’s hand in the significant as well as the trivial concerns of my life.

Maybe that is all God asks of us--not to solve one another's problems, but to be fully available to one another in the midst of those difficulties.
Solace for Your Sad Thanksgiving: Seeking and Finding Peace
My wish for all those sad hearts is that, especially when you feel hopelessly alone, you will stop and remember where the one true source of comfort is - the Savior, Jesus Christ. Christ has been given many titles: Jehovah, Son of God, Messiah, Holy One, and Redeemer, to name a few. He has also been called the Prince of Peace.
When Our Hearts Are Broken
God does not promise us that life will be easy or without trials, but He promises that as we turn to Him, and remember Him, we will find peace in our afflictions. In fact, He tells us to come unto Him with a "broken heart and contrite spirit." He promises to “bind up the brokenhearted”.
