I’m also certain the Lord observes the whole field. He paces the dugout with a perfect understanding of the best play to get me out of the inning. Through the Spirit’s promptings he signals me the whole time. But I’m not looking over.

I dislike Fruity Pebbles more than any other cereal not because they have the worst flavor, but rather because they don’t live up to their full potential. I want them to be as delicious as their fruit-flavored cereal competitors. But they just aren’t. Instead, they are less tasty and much more difficult to clean up. It quickly dawned on me that a gospel principle lay buried in that conversation and my son was about to hear it.
This simple series of promptings to my mind gave peace to my heart, and witnessed that God is in the big and small things in my life. The Lord has it all covered.
What a simple truth. Whether we invite God into our lives or not, He is simply always there. It is up to us to extend the invitation. More importantly, are we living our lives in such a way that we can feel His presence?
